Good Intensity on the aroma, with aniseed and stone. Savoury and sapid on the palate. Lively. There are notes of fennel. I like the way it finishes sappy. 2023-2028

There is a whiff of exoticism to the notably ripe aromas of pear, tangerine peel and white peach. There is impressive richness to the round and generously proportioned middle weight flavors that possess plenty of mid-palate fat, all wrapped in a delicious, clean and agreeably dry finale that offers enough depth to be more than just interesting.

There is an atypical aromatic profile here in the context of the 2015 vintage with its nose of pink grapefruit and floral scents. There is the same character in the mouth on the middle weight flavors that deliver acceptable depth and length. 88/2019+

Riper nose of resin, petrol and various white orchard fruit scents. There is excellent intensity to the beautifully well-detailed medium weight flavors that display impressive depth and length on the saline and well-balanced finale. It's extremely rare in my experience that a Maltroie can best a quality Caillerets but that appears to be the case here.

An overt and pretty Chassagne nose of herbs, some mineral and freshness. Muscled, but lithe and supple. Some richness to the texture and flavour, but the balance keeps up. Fine and detailed complexity in the finish. Lovely... (cask sample) By Bill Nanson (UK)
