Description

Typicity is of great importance for this wine. It is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes from the lesser-known yet well placed vineyards of the southern Côte-d'Or, harmoniously united with small parcels of superior Santenay or Auxey-Duresses grapes. This gives an overall result startlingly reminiscent of a fine Côte de Beaune wine.

Tasting Note
Bright ruby in color, the Bourgogne Cuvée Latour " 2013 reveals aromas of fruits on the nose such as raspberry and blackcurrant, accompanied by a touch of liquorice. On tasting, it is round and aromas of cherry emerge. A beautiful finish with nice mellow tannins.

Bourgogne Rouge Cuvée Latour 2007 - Jamie Goode's Wineanorak - April 2010 - 82/100Apparently this is the most difficult wine to produce every year. Light, fresh and cherryish. A bit herby with some savoury character.

2003 Bourgogne Rouge - Wine Spectator - May 31st, 2006 - 86 points :A supple, fleshy red, sporting cherry, spice and earth notes. It gets a lift from the fine tannins, ending with a tealike aftertaste. Dink now through 2010.
2003 Bourgogne Rouge - Burghound.com - April 2005 - 84 points :(Entirely from Côte d'Or grapes). Quite ripe aromatically but obviouly a pinot-based wine with rich, round and sweet flavors that are approachable now but should improve for a year or two. A delicious effort. 84/now+
