Description
  • The Côte de Beaune-Villages appellation is applied exclusively to red wines from 16 communes in the Côte de Beaune including Saint-Aubin, Pernand-Vergelesses and Auxey-Duresses. Maison Louis Latour carefully selects the grapes that are most representative of the appellation to produce this wine.

Wine tasting
  • Tasting Note
    Exhibiting typical Pinot Noir characteristics, this wine is light brick red in color. The nose is characterized by pronounced cherry stone nuances. Côte de Beaune Villages 2007 is fresh and balanced, with abundant red fruits and a finale offering hints of menthol. Good length on the palate, a significant aromatic presence and balanced tannins. A very charming wine. Tasted July 8th, 2009.

    • Côte de Beaune-Villages 2009 - Chris Kissack - January 2011 - 14.5-15/20Less depth of colour than the rather vibrant and appealing Santenay tasted alongside. Nevertheless there is a bright youthfulness here. Rather more solid style on the nose, more like fraise des bois here, littered with cherry skins and blackcurrant leaf. A touch angular on the palate, rather spiky too, but the fruit quality is fresh and the presence of the wine in the mouth is lively and appealing. A good effort. (UK)
    • Côte de Beaune-Villages 2004 - The Guernsey Press and Star - 6th June 2009 - "A well-made wine"From a famous Burgundian merchant who makes wines from all over the region, this has a fragant perfume with juicy raspberry and strawberry fruit, balanced with subtle oak, acidity and light tannins. A well-made wine that's typical of the house style. Goes well with most red meats, duck and regional cheeses.
    • 1996 Côte de Beaune Villages - Sunday Independent - November 2002 :Soft and warm on the palate with good light tannins and a pleasant flavourful finish. Lightish ruby in colour with hints of brick at the edges. A lighter style of Burgundy but still showing class and good varietal character.
